Health checks before and on entering the Centre
Brightling parents and staff work together to keep everyone safe.
- When a child arrives at the Centre each day, our staff member visually assesses them and asks the parent a set of questions to confirm their child’s health and well-being. If staff have any concerns about the child’s health following these assessments, the child will not be permitted to enter the Centre that day, for everyone’s safety.
- Once the child is settled in the classroom, we take their temperature (within 15 minutes of arrival). If they show any signs of illness, they will be isolated from the group and we will contact the parents to pick them up immediately.
- Children who have shown symptoms consistent with COVID-19 (fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, runny nose, poor feeding in infants) cannot return to the Centre until parents have contacted HealthLinks at 204-788-8200 or 1-888-315-9257 and followed their direction.
