Register Your Child Today!
Brightling Childcare Academy operates year-round and new registrations are accepted as spaces become available. Our spaces do fill up quickly, so families who are interested in learning more about our programs are encouraged to contact our office directly:
We love to personally connect with families to discuss their child and their childcare needs.
Please provide information to help us prepare for a chat with you about all we can offer your child.
Visiting our Centre is really the only way to fully appreciate what it offers
Karolina Dressler (in blue) is a hands-on daycare owner. A professional Early Childhood Educator and former Manitoba schoolteacher with more than 20 years’ experience in the field, working with children is her first love.
Brightling Childcare Academy is owned and operated by two certified Manitoba teachers, Karolina and Cory Dressler. Karolina, our Executive Director, left her elementary school classroom in 2003 to have an even more direct impact on southwest Winnipeg families through early childhood education.
As a working parent and a professional educator, Karolina understands the thrill and the challenge of finding excellent care for young children. At Brightling, she has built a team of professional early childhood educators who partner with parents to nurture and inspire the children in their care. Together, they work to equip Brightling children academically and emotionally for their school years.
Karolina is a creative spirit with excellent administrative skills. She is a kind leader who runs a tight ship. Her Centre’s programming incorporates new programming based on current research in child development, yet her relationship with every child is rooted in listening to them.
When Karolina is not at Brightling, she enjoys spending family time with Cory and their two daughters… or in the peaceful outdoors with her yoga mat. No matter where she is, her mind is always dreaming up new ways to engage the children in Brighting’s care.
Brightling Childcare Academy is located on Treaty 1 territory and the traditional homeland of the Metis Nation. We respectfully acknowledge the Indigenous ancestors of this land, and affirm our commitment to creating an equitable community on it.
