Our History
Brightling Childcare Academy, formerly known as Gramma Marie’s Children Centre, was established in 2003 when our Executive Director Karolina left her teaching job to have a more direct impact on southwest Winnipeg families through early childhood experience.
Karolina has built a team of professional early childhood educators that continuously undergo training at Brightling’s Professional Academy. She has facilitated an in-house series of professional development courses developed with external subject-matter experts for her staff and staff from other centres as well. Brightling is an industry leader in programming, curriculum and staff training.
